Our Purpose
Eta Sigma Gamma is the honorary student health society for health majors at Texas A&M. We work under the direction of the national Eta Sigma Gamma organization and pride ourselves on being involved with our community in a variety of service projects and providing our members with information about career and educational opportunities. We are founded on the principles of health research, teaching, service, and advocacy.
Advocacy |
What does it mean to be an advocate of health? Health advocacy encompasses direct service to the individual or family as well as activities that promote health and access to health care in communities and the larger public.

Cornerstone |
The cornerstone concept is derived from the first stone set in the construction of a masonry foundation. This is important to the building structure because all other stone will be set in reference to this stone. Similar to the structure of a building, our chapter participates in a cornerstone project every semester. The project begins at the first meeting and culminates in a final project at the end of the semester.
This semester our cornerstone and health advocacy piece encompasses Health Literacy Outreach of the Brazos County. ESG will partner with United Way Brazos County to perform the following:

Pro-Dev Event |
Each semester our chapter participates in an event called Pro-Dev. This is our Professional Development Health Career Fair, and it is an exclusive ESG event. We collaborate with several health professionals in a variety of fields for an information exchange for our members. This is a great way for our members to network with real professionals and set-up potential internships and employment opportunities. Examples of these professionals include but are not limited to:
